VERY URGENT – one to do right now…

Wednesday 10th January 2024 - GMT

Happy New Year!

I trust you had a great break, and are now getting back into the swing of things.

But not the same swing of things as last year. And here’s why…

Do you remember how – in your final few days before Christmas – people’s communications were different?

Maybe you missed some Update Meetings. Or you didn’t send some of your usual emails. Or a few presentations got cancelled.

And did these differences cause any problems?

Thought not!

So ask yourself this:

What problems would happen if we permanently stopped these comms?

And if stopping them wouldn’t cause any problems…

STOP DOING THEM!

So easy to say.

But not easy to do.

Why? Because we communicate based on habit, not logic. We just do what we did last week.

But last week, work was different to usual.

Which means that now – as in, right now – is the ideal time to change.

After all, if you don’t change now, you’ll quickly get back into your old habits. And then there’s no changing them!

Action Point

Identify the communications you should stop/reduce.

And then stop/reduce them right now.

Trust me on this: if you don’t do it now, you never will.
